For one such artist, Michelle, inspiration comes in the form of the Tennessee countryside and the various farm animals that inhabit it. With muses such as cows, sheep, and ducks, Michelle creates beautiful freehand masterpieces featuring the dynamic texture and depth you’ll notice on our products. This stunning dimension came about when after a long stretch of painting with oil on canvas, she developed an itch to explore something a little less conventional, thus landing on the unique process of applying acrylic paint directly onto burlap. The abrasive texture and high absorbency of the burlap may result in the destruction of many brushes and a high volume of paint, but the juxtaposition of this rough process with the sweet and delicate animal icons on the finished product only adds to its charm.
