Kathy’s Strip Mall House

Did you know that Kathy started her company as a newly divorced single parent of two? Rosie was just over a year old and Ben was 4.

The six months prior to starting PBK she had sold her house and actually lived in a vacant store in her mother’s strip mall. The storefront had only a fridge and a microwave. Spaghetti O’s were a staple dinner back then!

She later found a cute tiny ranch house to purchase. This first small home was where she began PBK in the basement, summer of 1997.
