In our 2023 Spring & Summer catalog we introduced a new collection of items under the name of Representation Matters. These designs celebrate love for all, including those who are often overlooked. We believe love is love and we all deserve it, and this belief is why it was important for us to create these new collections of accessories and home décor focused on disability pride, diversity, empowerment, and self-care. These items not only promote inclusiveness, but also directly benefit local initiatives to support LGBTQ+ communities, people with disabilities, and business ownership among women and people of color. Diversity and Empowerment
Our diversity and empowerment home décor and accessories are meant to inspire inclusiveness as well as encourage self-worth. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these items are donated to ASSETS, a non-profit organization focused on transforming communities by increasing business ownership among women and people of color.

Disability Pride
Everyone has experience with disability in their life, directly or indirectly, and our collection of Disability Pride items gives people a new opportunity to connect with each other. A portion of the proceeds from this collection are donated to Disability Empowerment Center, a nonprofit organization run by and for people with disabilities.
These designs beautifully display the colors of the recently updated Disability Pride flag in a variety of décor and accessories which represents appreciating the whole self, including one’s disabilities.
Primitives by Kathy decided it was important to use this collection to support the efforts of Disability Empowerment Center; the Center for Independent Living serving Lancaster and Lebanon Counties in PA. DEC is a private, nonprofit, nonresidential organization run by and for people with disabilities working to eliminate barriers, ensure access, protect civil rights, and affect positive social change for individuals of all ages, and with all types of disabilities.
