Trending: Macramé Décor

Much like history, trends repeat themselves every so often over the course of time. What originated in the Victorian 13th century came back in the ‘60s and ‘70s, and now, it’s back again, much to our delight.

Macramé.

It’s a style people either love or hate. At Primitives by Kathy, it’s clear which side of the aisle we’re on. What started as textile wall art with hand-knotted details, fringe accents, and muted color stories has recently evolved into a large assortment of accessories, both for the home and for consumers themselves.

Going back to the designs that started it all, our textile wall hangings are exciting, unique, and totally boho-chic. Whether they’re alone or in numbers, colorful or neutral, they make a statement that’s sure to elevate any space with something special. (Merchandise display tip: To inspire customers, some pieces are large enough to be an updated alternative to traditional headboards above a bed.)

Expanding on our existing collection, we released new textile designs in 2018, ranging from headbands to purses to necklaces and rugs to table runners. One of our favorites was our hanging macramé planters for an alluring indoor garden. We even created a mini plant hanger keychain!

Finally, our dip dyed, pom, and dream catcher macramé art add pops of vibrant color, layered details, and unique designs. Perfect for a dreamy bedroom accent, these pieces stand out from the rest and make an eye-catching statement.

Textile décor makes any room or space exciting and special with a bohemian touch, and we hope this is one trend that’s in it for the long haul.
