I am sure many of you have enjoyed a buttery, Auntie Anne’s soft pretzel in your travels. Did you know that Anne Beiler is from right here in Lancaster County? I was honored to recently hear her speak of her journey in business. She calls her business a “modern day business miracle”. Twist of Faith is an inspiring look at the life of a woman who went from an 8th grade Amish education to founding Auntie Anne’s, Inc, the world’s largest mall-based pretzel franchise. The thing I enjoyed most about her story is her sense of purpose in life that ultimately drove her business success. I was reading it on my way to visit my son, Ben, in Boston over Easter weekend. As I waited in the airport, I had to support Auntie Anne’s by eating one of the delicious pretzels at the airport. It is an amazing business story centered around ONE simple core product – a soft pretzel!
